Heart surgery was scary enough. But what Elizabeth’s daughter worried about most was how her mother would be able to go home afterwards. How would she take care of herself? Eat properly? What would she do in an emergency?

With a little help from United Way’s Initiative to help seniors be healthy and safe at home, Elizabeth was able to recuperate in the place that gives her the most comfort in the world. Home. With meals delivered, safety equipment installed and a caregiver’s routine visits, Elizabeth bounced back. Safely.
